Horse again
This is my first attempt with acrylics. I will have to persevere as it's completely different from my favourite watercolour. Practice makes perfect so they say

Re horse
Seeing as I had my stuff out in the conservatory (paints)! I thought I would give one race horse a try.
11 x 7 white night watercolour paints (Russian) on bockingford 200lb paper (I prefer this one)
I wish I could do feet
Race horses
The last horse race was 7 x 5 so I've tried a larger version without the pen 11 x 7 used white nights watercolours on blocking ford 200 lb is it any better ?

Pen and inktense wash
I thought I would have another go at sunflowers but this time using pen and inktense. I used the inktense the same way as I would use watercolour. Maybe I should have put in a bit more darks but I thought it would spoil it, but I will give it another go latter
Sunflowers
Thought I would try out some derwent colour soft pencils and attempted this picture of sunflowers.
Still a lot to do but it is the same with watercolours the more you overlay you end up with muddy colours. I still have to master the blending of colours. I think I was a bit heavy handed to start with so making it harder to overlay.what do you think

Pen and wash boat yard
I was looking through some old leisure painters when I came across an article on pen and wash so I thought I would give it a go and attempted this one of an old boat yard. First attempt might have another go at it at a later date

Cricket match
I know, I should have been blogging but been very busy doing other things. When we went to Carlton art group a few weeks ago I was at a loss for inspiration when Karl said paint this and produced a cutting from the Selby post of a local cricket match . I have never painted figures so I thought why not give it a go and this is the result. I know it isn't perfect but I wanted to see if I could give the figures movement
